ORDERING + SHIPPING POLICY
Shipping options and prices are displayed at checkout, including Standard, UPS 2-Day and UPS Next Day delivery. We cannot guarantee Monday delivery, as weather conditions may prevent us from shipping over the weekend.
Order processing time may be extended during holiday time periods, such as Christmas (Nov-Dec), Valentine’s (Feb) and Easter (Mar-Apr). Due to increased volume during these periods, all orders including 2-Day shipments, may require 1-3 business days additional processing time, as all chocolates are made fresh to order.
We work hard to ship out all orders as quickly as possible. We process orders in the order they are received. Only Next Day and 2-Day orders are guaranteed to ship out in a specific timeframe, Standard Shipping & Free Shipping orders do not have a guaranteed delivery date. As our chocolates are handmade, large orders may require some additional processing time.
MECHA is not responsible for any delivery delays caused by the carrier, such as weather delays, mechanical delays, etc. Carriers are experiencing longer than usual delivery times. Please plan accordingly.
*We may need to hold orders and wait to ship if the destination exceeds 85 degrees on 2 Day shipping or over 90 degrees on Next Day orders, to ensure chocolate is received in optimal condition.
2-Day and Next-Day Delivery
Our daily order cut-off for Next Day and 2-Day shipments is 12 Noon PST. Orders placed after 12 PM, will calculate as if the order were placed the following day. 2-Day and Next Day order and delivery times are calculated as Business Days (Monday-Friday). Saturday and Sunday are not considered business days. MECHA reserves the right to ship orders based on current transit weather conditions to ensure optimal product arrival. For this reason, MECHA does not ship out items on Fridays, so they do not sit over the weekend.
If you would like to pick your order up from our store, please select the pickup option at checkout. Pickup is available at our Haddonfield, NJ and Passyunk Square, PA (Coming soon!) location. As our chocolates are handmade to order, pickup orders are unable to be canceled. Availability and pickup times may vary.
We offer in-store pickup year round.
STORING YOUR CHOCOLATE
Your chocolates should be stored in a dry, dark, cool place below 70 degrees F. Consume within two weeks from purchase for maximum flavor and freshness. If you store in the freezer, transfer to the refrigerator for 24 hours before bringing to room temperature for 20 minutes and enjoy!
As a retailer of handmade perishable food items, we are unable to accept returns. However, we are here to provide the best possible experience for every customer. If you have any problems with your order, please contact us so we can assist.
If your chocolate arrives melted due to hot weather, we will replace it. Please contact our Customer Support within (24) hours of receipt, with a detailed description and photograph(s) evidencing this, for assistance with a replacement or exchange.
Due to the perishable nature of our chocolate, all claims submitted without proper support will not be eligible for reshipment. MECHA reserves the right to limit replacements. We will either reship the item or offer a refund.
Due to the perishable nature of our products, our guarantee is valid only on correctly addressed orders on the first delivery attempt. We cannot guarantee the condition of the package if the carrier reroutes your order. We will ship your order to the shipping address(es) you provide. Please include a street address, and company name, suite or apartment numbers when applicable to ensure accurate delivery.
MECHA is not responsible for failed deliveries when:
- You provide an incorrect or outdated address;
- You address does not contain a valid suite or apt number when one is necessary;
- Your recipient is out of town or not available.
Shipments that are returned or require rerouting due to incorrect addresses will be subject to additional charges for reshipment. Additionally, the extended transit time during the return may damage and/or spoil the items. MECHA may at their sole discretion deem the returned items as unsuitable for redelivery and any new replacement order shall be at the customer’s expense.
